The story…

When I was a very young girl in Kenya I overheard my dad talking to some friends, telling them how much I loved nature. Nature? I thought - what is nature? I wondered at that time how could he say I loved nature when I didn’t even know what it was? The move to England all those years ago had a very personal effect on me. I missed my friends, but more than that I missed the wildness of Africa, the red earth, the sudden sunsets, the wonderful majestic elephants. I find my peace when I capture the spirit of its wildlife in the vivid colours of Africa. My dad was so right.

Did you know - elephants are emotional creatures. Elephants recognise humans that they once bonded with, even after several decades have passed and we reciprocate that emotion. I am continually astounded by the love we humans have for the elephant: so many people come up to me at art shows and express their deep love and wonder for the elephant, many of whom have never seen one in real life. I wanted to express this warmth the elephant engenders by giving it back a high five (the trunk, get it?).

So it really does depend on your location. I either deliver it personally if I can or use my reliable courier which has served me well for years. Delivery is free within the London area or if collected by you.
